Why we do this?
- Because we believe in community. Because we believe that the work that we do has a positive impact on the wellbeing and outlook of our people, both young and old.
- Because we believe in Derry and its people. We believe that we can be better and that we can compete with any other GAA unit in Ireland despite many inequalities that exist.
- Because we want to support our clubs and the elected officers of Derry GAA in providing solid financial footings, with increased coaching support for both this generation and the next.
- Because our players deserve our support.
- Because if we don’t, no-one else will.
Your support for Club Derry has never been more important…
It helps to invest in a number of ongoing initiatives within Derry GAA, including:
- Refurbishment of the stadium pitch at Owenbeg (2020)
- High speed broadband connection at Owenbeg and improved IT infrastructure.
- Refurbishment of the 2 front training pitches to professional standards (2021)
- Refurbishment of the 2 rear training pitches to professional standards (2022)
- Refurbishment of the 3G pitches at Owenbeg
- Refurbishment and improvements in the energy efficiency of the original “admin block” at Owenbeg.
- In addition the County board are working on a number of initiatives which raise the bar in terms of sporting ambition at both Club and County level across the county, which includes the implementation of the Coaching and Development Strategy 2021-2026.
