Watty Grahams to host Francis Lagan Legacy fundraising event

Be it in family life where he was a devoted father of four, in school life where he was a popular principal, or in his club, where he was a hard-working coach, the late Francis Lagan always abided by his mantra ‘it’s all about the weans’. The needs and wellbeing of the children in his care were always paramount.

On Saturday 9th September, the Lagan family, friends, colleagues, and Watty Graham’s GAC will come together to remember Francis and to celebrate his life with a Fun Day at Watty Graham Park, themed ‘All about the Weans’.

The Fun Day at Watty Graham Park, Glen will have something for everyone and will include a kids’ fun run, a 5K, go-games, exhibition football, multiple amusements, food stalls, music plus much, much more! All funds generated will go to the ‘Air Ambulance Charity’ and the ‘Francis Lagan Community Legacy Fund’.

The fantastic and essential service provided by the Air Ambulance needs no introduction, as they save lives daily throughout the North of Ireland. The ‘Francis Lagan Community Legacy Fund’ will be used to enrich and better the lives of local children in a lasting and tangible way.

As part of the fundraising, the club are holding a monster raffle with loads of fantastic prizes on offer, with top billing being 2 VIP Taylor Swift tickets in Dublin 2024.

Tickets can be purchased from the following link, which will be valid until Thursday evening (7th Sept).

Paper tickets can be purchased right up to the night of the draw on Saturday 9th.
