Foundation Level Referees Course

Are you interested in becoming a referee? Think you can do better? Then “Put your whistle where your mouth is” and “Become a GAA Referee”!

Refereeing is a great way to get involved with Gaelic Games. There are opportunities for everyone, whether you only want to referee at your local club or progress to the national stage like Barry or Tarlach.

Refereeing gives you the opportunity to remain active in the game following injury or retirement, to make new and lasting friends within the game and to play a huge role in ensuring the players young and not so young enjoy their match day experience.

Foundation Level Referees Course (Football/Hurling)

Derry GAA is offering a Foundation Level Referee course for both football and hurling.

The Course is in 4 modules.

  • Modules 1 and 2 are completed online.
  • Module 3 is classroom-based course to be completed in Owenbeg with National tutors Saturday 3rd July 10am.
  • Module 4 is Online exam to complete the course.
