Derry Under 20 Hurling Panel

Hurling Panel:
Under 20 Hurling Manager Ryan O’Neill has named his panel which will compete in the GAA All-Ireland U20B Championship – Richie McElligott Cup, commencing on Saturday 29th in Owenbeg.
The 34 strong panel consists of players drawn from 7 clubs across the county.
Ryan will be assisted by John O’Dwyer and Kieran Stephenson.
U20 Hurling season:
Ulster U20 Cup:
- The team gained valuable experience vs. Antrim and Down during the pre-season Ulster competition. Despite missing a number of players due to involvement with the victorious St. Patrick’s Maghera Hogan cup squad, the lads were agonisingly close to qualifying for the Ulster final; with a late defeat vs. Down at Owenbeg.
- Results:
- Saturday 1st February: Antrim 2-24 vs. Derry 0-06
- Saturday 22nd February: Derry 0-11 vs. Down 1-09
All Ireland U20 ‘B’ Championship:
Derry now enter the U20 B championship, having been victorious in the competition in 2023.
The competition is set to begin tomorrow (29th March), with Derry entering the competition at the Quarter Final stage.
Taking place on Monday 10th March, the quarter final draw was as follows:
- Roscommon vs. Wicklow
- Derry vs. Sligo
- Mayo vs. Tyrone
- Donegal vs. Down
Semi Final draw (ties to be played on the weekend of 5/6 April):
- Roscommon / Wicklow vs. Mayo / Tyrone
- Derry / Sligo vs. Donegal / Down
Final to be played on the weekend of 3/4 May.
