2025 Championship Regulations:
REGULATIONS:
7.1 All Adult Senior Team Championship Knockout games will be played at neutral venues.
7.2 Reserve and Recreational Reserve Cup/Championships will be home advantage to first drawn team up to and including Semi Finals.
7.3 CCC’s decision on the suitability of venues for championship games is final.
SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP:
The following teams will compete in the Senior Championship and Senior Reserve Championship in 2025:

The competition will be a 16 team championship, played in a ’Back Door’ format.
- Round 1: Open draw; 8 vs. 8
- Round 2:
- Group A: Winner Round 1 vs. Winner Round 1 (Open Draw)
- Group B: Loser Round 1 vs. Loser Round 1 (Open Draw)
- Winners of Round 2 Group A get a bye to Quarter Finals (Pot 1)
- Losers of Round 2 Group B drop into Relegation Play off Semi Final (Open Draw)
- Round 3: Losers Group A vs. Winners Group B (Pot 2)
- Quarter Finals: Pot 1 vs. Pot 2
- Semi Finals: Open Draw
All SFC games will be played at neutral venues
All games will finish on the day except for the Championship Final, which will go to extra time, then replay. Replays will finish on the day.

SENIOR RESERVE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP:
Senior Reserve Championship will have a separate draw and will be played on the Monday night following the Senior fixture.
INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The following teams will compete in the Intermediate Championship and Intermediate Reserve Championship in 2025:

They will play a League/Knockout Championship with 4 groups of 3 = 2 games.
- Groups will be selected by an Open Draw.
- There will be 1 home and 1 away game.
- The Top 2 teams in each group after 3 rounds will advance to Quarter Finals.
- The quarter final draw will be seeded 1v 2 across the groups.
- Semi Final will be open draw and repeat pairings are allowed.
The 3rd placed team in each group will play in the Relegation semi finals.
The IFC winner will be promoted to Senior Championship for 2026.
All games will finish on the day except for the Championship Final, which will go to extra time, then replay. Replays will finish on the day.

INTERMEDIATE RESERVE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Intermediate Reserve Championship fixtures will mirror the Senior Team fixtures for the round robin stage, and the top 2 reserve teams in each group will play in the Reserve Championship Quarter Finals.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The following teams will compete in the Junior Championship in 2025. (Teams in Bold will play Senior and Reserve)

They shall play a League/Knockout Championship, with 3 groups of 3
- There will be 1 home and 1 away game.
- After group stages teams will be ranked 1-9 with the Top 8 placed teams advancing to Quarter Finals.
- The quarter final draw will be seeded Pot 1 (teams 1-4) v Pot 2 (teams 5-8).
- Semi Final will be open draw and repeat pairings are allowed.
The JFC winner will be promoted to Intermediate Championship for 2026.
All games will finish on the day except for the Championship Final, which will go to extra time, then replay. Replays will finish on the day.

JUNIOR RESERVE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Junior Reserve Championship will be a straight knockout championship which will begin just after the Quarter Finals of the Junior Championship.
HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
The following teams will compete in the Derry Hurling Championship in 2025

Teams will be graded through the League section of Championship
- There will be 2 groups of 4 teams seeded on 2024 Championship Status.
- Each group will be made up of one Senior Championship Finalist, one Intermediate Championship Finalist, one defeated Intermediate Championship Semi-Finalist and one Junior Championship Finalist.
- There will be 1 home, 1 away and 1 neutral game.
- The top 2 teams in each group after the round robin games will play in the Senior/Intermediate Hurling Qualifier with the winners advancing to the Senior Hurling Final and the Losers competing in the Intermediate Hurling Final.
- The 3rd and 4th placed teams in each group after the round robin games will play in the Junior Hurling Semi Final.
All games will finish on the day except for the Finals, which will go to extra time, then replay. Replays will finish on the day.
A team can only progress to Ulster in their respective grade if they retain their
Championship status from the previous season, or if they drop one grade, i.e. Senior to Intermediate or Intermediate to Junior. A senior team from the previous season cannot compete in Ulster at Junior level.

RESERVE HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP:
Ballinascreen, Kevin Lynch HC, Lavey, Sleacht Neill, Swatragh and St Finbarr’s will play a straight knockout Reserve Championship.
This will be open draw and home advantage to first named team up to and including semi finals.
